Song: "For You and Your Denial"
Artist: Yellowcard
Album: When You're Through Thinking, Say Yes
It has been years since I had last listened to Yellowcard. I hadn't even realized they had released a new album since their hiatus. This is one of the singles from that album, but I find the lyrics to be very poetic and inspiring. Not only are the lyrics engaging and full of imagery, but the chords and notes conjure up feelings of freedom and rebellion. I feel at one time or another we've all had that feeling of being chained down or being held back by something in our lives that won't allow us to break free. Its anthems like this song that let us listeners know that we are the masters of our own destiny and the selectors of our own path in life. So listen up and feel free to turn your speakers up nice and loud on this one.

"Love, The Royal We..."
Song: "The Royal We"
Artist: Silversun Pickups
Album: Swoon
So I thought we'd get this thing started off right with a lesser known band called the Silversun Pickups. This song is just amazing. The driving guitar themes along with the vocals just really pieces the song together. The chorus and bridge always gives me chills, and the music video itself is pretty cool artistically speaking as well. The male vocalist sounds similar to Claudio Sanchez from Coheed and Cambria with his falsetto singing, and the instrumentals from the rest of the album give the band a sound similar to Coheed and Cambria mixed with Death Cab for Cutie. Give it a listen and check out the rest of the album while you're at it.
